Our Story

Founded in 2011, the Launceston Chamber of Commerce emerged from a simple belief: that local businesses thrive when they support each other. What started as informal gatherings between business owners has grown into Cornwall's most active chamber, representing over 50 enterprises across our historic market town.

We focus on practical support rather than grand gestures. Our monthly business breakfasts provide real networking opportunities, our community events bring customers to local businesses, and our member directory helps people find the services they need locally.

Today, we continue to champion the independent spirit that makes Launceston special, while helping businesses adapt and grow in an ever-changing marketplace.

Our Mission

We exist to help local businesses succeed through practical support, genuine connections, and community engagement. Our approach is straightforward: bring business owners together, promote their services, and create opportunities for growth.

Every month, we facilitate networking that leads to real business relationships. We organize community events that drive footfall to local shops and services. We maintain a directory that helps residents find local businesses when they need them.

We believe that a strong local economy benefits everyone - business owners, employees, and residents alike. That's why we work to ensure Launceston remains a place where independent businesses can flourish.
